Take a free meander around the trails at the Interpretive Park at Capitol Lake to identify the birds and other urban wildlife there! The Deschutes Estuary Restoration Team (DERT) and Firecraft Northwest present the free walk, Wildlife of Capitol Lake and the Coming Estuary, on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 3:30-5:30pm. Find out about the current wildlife habitat and how the shift to an estuary might change which wildlife will stay, which will increase in numbers, and which might relocate to other habitats nearby. DERT will share about what we can expect to see from the restoration project.
