Run with the Lions in the “Stride for Sight” 5k/10k Saturday, April 12, 2025 on the Chehalis Western Trail in Lacey. “Stride for Sight” will feature certified 5k and 10k course options plus a family friendly one-mile course. Blind running teams are also welcome and sighted running partner/guide registers for free. Sponsored by the Olympia Host Lions Club, 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Lions Low Vision Resource Center. The center provides support to those losing their eyesight to diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration with free loans of magnifying equipment and devices to help low-vision individuals maintain their independence.
Registration is open for all events – early birds sign up for 5k or 10k for $35 with guaranteed t-shirt sizing until March 31. One-mile runners run for free – no t-shirt but some fun treats for children. Moms and dads can get your steps in – strollers are allowed on the one-mile course.
