45% of Thurston County 10th graders are students of color. How are our schools doing serving this diverse group? On Tuesday March 4, 2025, the League of Women Voters & others will host “Committing to Equitable, Inclusive K-12 Schools,” a free educational forum for the community at 7pm at the Lacey Community Center. Experts will explore how teacher, school administrator, and school-board member training changed to foster education where students feel they belong. Students and parents will also share their experiences and reflect on data gathered from the latest Healthy Youth Survey.
